But I do not do anything wrong... and the testimony?
The silence before the destruction of the values that God has put in man is a guilty omission, is complicity

Some feel sinful, and others, like Pope Francis, says, that they feel "righteous," and as he adds, both are wanted by the father. And why the righteous? For because those who look clean from all guilt, always have some we are all sinners! What's going on? Let's see.

Indeed, many good people always try to avoid evil and thus abide by the divine law. They do not do what is forbidden and try to do what is ordained to us, like loving God, loving others, honoring father and mother. And not bad, they adhere to the Ten Commandments, but something is missing, which is also divine order.

Omissions are missing, that is due but NOT done. It is so easy not to do something bad, that sometimes it is a simple weakness of character to carry it out, fears to be mistaken, "to what they will say" and things like that.

The omissions of doing good equal are sins. Suffice it to remember the divine judgment foreseen by the Gospel, about those who saw Christ in the neighbor in Need and nothing did: they saw him hungry, thirsty, naked, abandoned, unprotected... And they did nothing for him, they went their way in their comfort.

But there's still more. Some know that they do not teach ignorant. They do not advise those who need it (even if they do not know that they need it) or rebuke the wrong one as scripture asks. It is so easy to think "to be fixed by yourself", that you will see God.

And yet to parents, and even to other people, it seems right, as it is, to educate the child for life, reprimand him when it is wrong, teach him good manners and so on. But when it comes to adults, they no longer dare, especially if they don't feel them as "theirs" and fear to anger them.

And let's go even further; the testimony of the word. In the world, around us, very serious things happen against the teachings and commandments of the Lord, and the vast majority remains silent. The crime of infanticide by abortion is promoted, the family is destroyed, the concept of marriage is distorted, homosexuality is promoted openly and even pedophilia and the great majority complains in private but does nothing to give the voice of alarm and defend the straight meaning of life.

Silence at the destruction of the values that God has put in man is a guilty omission, it is complicity. Yes, silence is complicity! And so say both the holy Fathers and people of goodwill. The popular saying of "The silent one grants", applies.

The church is attacked, abortion is defended, and many remain silent, even in a group, private conversations. Better not to hurt our friendship, they think, but not as convincing, but as an excuse to themselves.

Violations of human rights occur at terrible levels in the world, and most remain silent. People are persecuted, martyred and cruelly murdered just because they are Christians and do not renounce their faith ... and they remain silent. And they ask God to do something, but they do not do anything.

Fortunately, there are people who, through the Internet or the press of all kinds, call for a protest against the violation of these human rights, and pressure on leaders and governments, and make good accounts. Others use Parliamentary tribunes, but most people don't care. They do not even pray for what they dare.

Faced with the yelling of few in favor of perverse causes, the majority is silent, which the former president Nixon called "The Silent Majority". Like other leaders, religious or have not said, among them Martin Luther King, that what worried him was the silence of many.

Some take risks in denouncing evil and propitiating good, like those who pray in front of abortions or protest in the streets without violating the laws. The truth is that it is becoming easier to raise the voice together in favor of good causes, the defense of faith and all human values, but it is not done.

Jesus gave the church the mandate to go and preach to all nations. Because on a personal level, as part of your church, we must fulfill it in our environment or by means now within our reach. To remain silent is the antithesis of preaching. Defending life, in the face of widespread homicide in the nation itself and various parts of the world, to demand respect for life, to preach the NO to abortion! as a good example.

So you have to remove the mask of "just" and recognize both what is done well, the evil avoided and what is necessary for a testimonial, has been stopped. So there will be no surprises at the time of final accountability to the Lord at the time of death. No more worth the excuses, there will be no time. Better to come to that judgment with good accounts, due testimony, to have raised the voice. Is it that important? Yes, it is.
