Roman martyrology: In the village of Torrent, in Spain, blessed Carmen Marie Garcia Moyon, martyr, teacher of Christian doctrine, which in the cruel religious persecution was raped and burned alive because of their faith in Christ.

Beatification date:  March 11, 2001 by Pope John Paul II

Born on September 13, 1888 in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France. Lay woman in the archdiocese of Valencia, Spain. Catechist. Raped and martyred in the Spanish Civil War.

She was burned alive on  January 30, 1937 in Torrent, Valencia, Spain.
