SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Very little is known about St. Aldo except for the fact he was an eighth-century hermit charcoal-burner in northern Italy, known for his holiness.

He was buried in the chapel of Saint Colombano and his relics were later transferred to the basilica of San Michele.
