If a lot of snow accumulates, then, there can be a risk of it forming an avalanche. That is just what happens with lies, they accumulate making damage in their path. 

There are societies where everything can be said and lies grow and spread at unheard-of speeds.

The liar is thoughtless when it comes to control data or thinking about the correct interpretation of facts. The sole desire to lie is enough for him or her to throw any falsehood into the ring. Eventually, the lie will run everywhere and deceive many.

Supposedly pluralistic societies allow the dissemination of almost everything, under the two rights that according to them, can never be discussed: the right of freedom of thought and free expression. 

The supposed freedom of expression can sometimes be very controlled and not that “free” at all. For example, anyone who speaks of a possible “cure” for people who have certain sexual tendencies are quickly to be judges and persecuted.

Spreading lies in the general public is only possible with the support of powerful media outlets, in which the interests of those who the monetary resources dominates. 

There will be those who claim that thanks to the Internet , there will be more lies unmasked and that the truth will be promoted. 

So who will save us from the many avalanches of lies? In part, a good education taught by teachers free of deceptive ideologies. Constant personal work combined with patience are also necessary so that people won’t get fooled with everything that has a minimum guarantee of seriousness.

Most importantly, in the task of defending ourselves from lies we can count on the help from God. For if man was not able to overcome sin without the coming of Christ, he will not be able to resist the father of lies (the Devil). This cannot be done without the help of Him who is path, life, and complete truth.
