Born a princess (539-612) , the daughter of Charibert and Ingoberga. Married to the pagan King Ethelbert of Kent, she became the first Christian queen of England. She brought Ethelbert to the faith, and they welcomed Saint Augustine of Canterbury to England in 596, and supported his work.
