Born at Ravenna, Italy. Bishop of Ravenna, Italy in 283. Attended the Council of Sardica in 344.

He died onc.348, at some point his relics were taken to Pavia. In 836, the relics were transferred to Erfurt, Germany.

He is the patron of hatters.
