Laying Foundations

What are you built on?

Lots of people admire New York City's skyline. Almost nobody admires its sewers.

But without the warren of tunnels, foundations and utilities that lurk beneath its iconic skyscrapers - brand new Water Tunnel 3 lies 800 ft underground - NYC would be a very different place.

Just like you.Every day brings its own joys and worries, and in the hustle to get ahead of the game, it's easy to forget that what really makes us or breaks us lies beneath the surface.

What are you built on? How can you know?

The answer is yet another question: is there something I really can't do without? Not something I'd rather not give up. Something I need. Something I would die to defend and kill to recover.

Whatever you find, that something is what you're building your life on. And it had better be strong enough to see you through life's knocks.
