Dear Catholic.net Friend in Christ,
The Catechism teaches that during Lent, the Church unites herself each year to the mystery of Jesus in the desert. (CCC 540). Think about what Our Lord prayed for while in the desert. He prayed for the salvation of souls. Following up on his prayer, he did not hesitate to do everything he could for souls. He freely died for us.

This year, the Holy Father reminds the Church that we were buried with him in baptism, in which we were also raised with him (Colossians 2: 12). It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Are there people on your email contact list who have not yet realized this? Do you have in there fallen away Catholics? Are there believers who have not yet come to the knowledge of the fullness of God’s revelation as found in the Holy Mother Church?

I’m sure you do. I’m also sure that those are people our Lord prayed for in the desert during those 40 days. This Lent, as we join our Lord in the desert. Are you willing to do your part for the salvation of those souls?  Are you really willing to do whatever you can for their salvation? Would you consider starting by letting them know about Catholic.net: http://www.catholic.net/share

On Catholic.net they will find faith formation content, experts who can answer their faith questions, encouragement for them to seek the grace of the Sacraments. One of our apostolate’s charismas is anonymity. Through their computer screen many users get to ask questions they otherwise wouldn’t, they take the time to learn the faith without concern of being misinterpreted by others, and eventually they make their way to their new found or long lost home parish. If you know someone who could benefit from our services, please share Catholic.net with them: http://www.catholic.net/share

As Christians, we have an obligation to evangelize. It is not an option, it is not a choice, it is not something we might do when we feel like it. Rather, we should be willing to share Christ with others at all times in what we do and what we say. And now, thanks to the internet in what we post online. Please take advantage of our apostolate to build up the Kingdom among your friends. Let them know about Catholic.net:
