Wanting to Help Without Knowing How
/

We see the problem. We figure out how to solve it, but all the doors seem locked.

If I speak, what words should I say? How do I find a way to be accepted?

If I shut up, won't I be interpreted as a coward?

If I write, what will happen to the words written? Who will they reach? Will I be able to express tactfully and clearly an idea that, I hope, will help others?

There are times when I can’t see any roads that lead me out of the tunnel. Problems are a constant in life, but is there a solution?

In spite of everything, there is always the opportunity to pray. While we pray we raise our hearts to heaven, when we plead our Father for mercy, help, light, strength and comfort.

I want to reach out to You, Father. Do not let my brother succumb in sadness, bitterness, hatred and sin. Give me strength to know how to be by his side, to find concrete ways to accompany him.

Let me, beyond my limits, be a good Samaritan. Teach me how to share that great love You have put into my life. A love that You also wish to offer to each of my younger brothers.
